Effective March 23, 2022

KLC College: Healthcare, Business, & Education has made reforms to the COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for all students participating in person activities of the college. Health and safety of our students, staff, faculty, and our community remain our utmost priority. KLC College understands and acknowledges the risks of COVID-19, its severity, and its transmissibility, especially with the prevalence of the various variants of concern. This policy has been reformed in accordance with the updates from the Ministry of Ontario and local public health units as part schedules 4 and 5 of O. Reg 364/20 Rules for Areas in Step 3 and at the Roadmap exit step.

As of March 1, 2022, students are no longer required to show their proof of vaccination in order to participate in any in-person activities on campus. They will also not be required to submit their antigen point of care testing for COVID-19.

However, KLC College works closely with local hospitals, long term care homes and other healthcare facilities for placements in various healthcare programs.

Vaccination against COVID-19 will still be required for students going to placements in any healthcare setting in Ontario.

KLC College is committed to re-evaluate all our policies moving forward as an organization and in accordance with the Ministry of Ontario and local public health units.

KLC College will collect, document, and maintain this data in a statistical manner. This information can be disclosed to placement facilities, if requested.
